12 Artists 12 Days
Doing the paragraph a day challenge has inspired me to do my own blogalong challenge. So here it is "12 Artists 12 Days". My intention is to explore and consolidate what is inspiring me at the moment, to introduce some new artists (assuming that some you already know and some you will be seeing for the first time) and to discover some new artists myself hopefully by your participation. I'm really curious to do this again in a year or two to see what's changed, who I'm looking at and so on. I'm not going to ramble on about why I have chosen who I chose but let the artist's work speak for itself, the hardest thing is picking only 12 there are so many amazing artists out there, and so many I am soon to meet. I really hope you'll join me starting on September the 14th:
How you can participate
- You could join me on your own blog (starting on the 14th of September, but spread the word now), introducing artists that you love and admire, either just one, or as many as you like, either with a post each or all in the same post (really there are no rules but I'll be doing one a day) with a link back here so we can find your posts (I will set up a linksy for that).
- If you don't have a blog, you could leave names and links in the comments, so that we can have a look at who is inspiring you
- You could share the button/badge (using the code below) so others can find us all :)
I'm so hoping you'll join me, I'm really looking forward to following the links, I've discovered some amazing artists following the links.
If you'd like to play along I've made us a badge and please enter your blog below in the linksy:

I love this idea. I will do a blog in the next day or two about this.

DeleteHi, I'm LaGaby Ga, your initiative is very interesting and pretty. I think It´s a nice opportunity to introduce many artists and to learn a little of all. My blog is in Spanish, because I live in Spain. I leave you in Link, hope you like it.http://lagabyga.blogspot.com.es/ and my page in facebook:https://www.facebook.com/LaGabyGaIlustrations?ref=hl
ReplyDeleteThank you LaGaby Ga, that's the beauty of art, your blog may be in Spanish but art transcends so many barriers, including a language barrier. I look forward to visiting you blog.

Have enjoyed having a look at who inspires you Galia, Cressida Campbell is one of my favourite artists, I saw her retrospective at the SH Ervin Gallery when the book was launched, she is so very brave in how she pulls the paint off her work with one print!

Thank you Mo. Cressida's work is fascinating and I was amazed by her process when I read about it in the book. I would love to know more about how it works. I guess there's some play for me at some point. I'm hoping to see one in flesh sometime in the new year (both the prints and the plate), do you know any Sydney galleries which hold her work?
